So first, here's the beach.
This was back when i was still working with my point-and-shoot...i anguish now thinking of the much-more-amazing pictures i could have gotten with Charlie. Charlie is my DSLR, by the way.
So yeah, after the conference, we took an excursion to the west coast of Mexico where the water was bluer than any blue i've ever seen.
This was in mid-November, mind you.
We were enjoying the beach and the water, when we saw some fisherman carrying a bag around, and people were swarmed around him. Turns out, he was selling freshly-caught clams on the beach.
He would cut one open, clean it with some bottled water, cut the meat up with his giant cleaver...
And to top it off, he would squeeze the juice of half a lime into it. Um....wow.
It tasted like OCEAN. Just straight up OCEAN. All the delicious flavors of the sea swept up into tender pieces of live clam.
Oh, the glory.
Looking at these pictures, i am just itching to travel the world again. :) Maybe there's a conference in New Zealand or Argentina i could apply to. Oh, or Greece, please take me to Greece! Imagine all the food pictures i could take there!!
